Scoil Bhríde Seantalamh is a DEIS plus primary school located in Shantalla, Galway City catering for pupils from JI to 6th Class in both mainstream and special class settings.

We have 4 Teaching positions available as follows:

3 x Fixed Term Teaching positions
1 x Temporary SET Allocation for Ukrainian and IPAS enrolments
(Term 1 2026/27 10 hours)

Relevant qualifications as per DEY requirements.

Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening, completion of the online TUSLA Child Safeguarding Training and satisfactory references.

These roles require flexibility and we are seeking teachers who can be responsive to the ever changing needs of the pupils in Scoil Bhríde and the school.

Teamwork and a willingness to undertake CPD are essential.

Experience of and/or training in working with children with additional needs including Autism, ADHD, sensory needs, emotional and behavioural needs is desirable.

The successful candidate must be flexible, kind, have a strong work ethic, be able to contribute to our team and work on his/her own initiative.

The successful candidate will be expected to respect student and staff confidentiality at all times, as well as uphold the Catholic Ethos of the school.
