An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Mary’s is a vibrant and welcoming primary and post-primary special school that will cater for 92 pupils from September. We support children and young people with moderate, severe and profound intellectual disabilities, autism and complex additional needs.
We deliver the Primary Curriculum Framework, Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle programmes, providing rich, engaging and highly individualised learning experiences that recognise and nurture every pupil’s strengths, interests and potential.
We are looking for teachers who are:
Enthusiastic, caring and committed to inclusive education.
Creative, flexible and willing to bring fresh ideas to the classroom.
Collaborative team players who enjoy working with colleagues, families and other professionals.
Positive, energetic and eager to create engaging learning experiences.
Previous experience in a special education setting would be an advantage, but it is not essential.
Please note interviews for shortlisted candidates will take place on Monday 6th of July.

Demonstrate a commitment to child-centred and inclusive education.
Be willing to engage in ongoing professional learning and development.
Appointments will be subject to satisfactory references, current vetting requirements and Department of Education regulations and procedures.
