An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a fixed term 0.5 Job Share position for the 26/27 school year.
The successful candidate may be required to work in either a Special Class for pupils with Autism or in mainstream setting, depending on the needs of the school and pupils.
The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, initiative, professionalism and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a highly effective team in supporting pupils with additional care and educational needs.
The following experience, skills and attributes are desirable.
-Experience supporting pupils with a range of needs, including sensory, emotional and behavioural, and care needs
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with school staff and pupils.
-Knowledge of, and experience of contributing to the development, implementation and review of Primary Care plans and pupils support plans.
-A willingness to engage in continuing professional development and undertake courses relevant to the needs of the pupils and the school.
Posts are allocated by the NCSE and subject to review.
This appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, current vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening requirements.
