An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
South Abbey National School invites applications for the vacancies outlined below all of which are subject to allocation by the NCSE yearly/termly.
Specified Purpose Substitute posts (32 hours per week) subject to allocation by the NCSE yearly/termly.
Specified Purpose Substitute posts (c.26.6 hours per week) subject to allocation by the NCSE yearly/termly.
These posts may be a mixture of ASD Special Class settings & Mainstream Class settings. All applicants must be willing to work in all areas of the school environment.
Candidates must have a proven record of being highly motivated, flexible and personable. Candidates must be able to work well within a team, display a strong work ethic and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training e.g. The National Training Programme for SNAs.
The successful candidates may be required to participate in in-school training and planning at the end of August, prior to the school reopening.
Once shortlisting has been conducted we will contact those who have been selected for interview.
