These posts have arisen as a result of an increase in our allocation.
The successful applicant will join a supportive and collaborative environment, working alongside a classroom teacher, a team of highly skilled and experienced SNAs, an onsite Behaviour Practitioner, and external visiting professionals.
ABACAS has worked extensively with the Middletown Centre of Autism and the NCSE to adopt neuroaffirming approaches, grounded in unconditional positive regard for the children we support.
Key Requirements
Significant experience working with pupils with Autism and communication difficulties in an educational setting
Demonstrated experience in managing behaviours of concern
Strong understanding and application of positive behaviour support strategies
Ability to implement low arousal, therapeutic approaches to support children with complex needs
A flexible, proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new strategies
Ability to work effectively as part of an established and successful team.
