St. Mary's Central NS, Killenaule, is a Catholic School under the patronage of the Archdiocese of Cashel & Emly. It is a co-educational rural school with a current enrolment of 132 pupils. Staff comprises of 6 mainstream class teachers, 2 ASD class teachers 3.8 SET and 6.5 SNA posts.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Assistant (SNA) who is committed to supporting the inclusion, wellbeing, and development of children.

This position is a 0.5 SNA position - Daily hours; Monday - Friday

Experience of working with children in a special class for children with autism is extremely desirable for this role, as well as working with children with additional needs in a mainstream setting. The successful applicant will be professional, trustworthy, and passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment where every child can thrive.

Essential/Desirable Criteria:
- Ideally, candidates will have completed a QQI Level 6 SNA qualification.
- A strong commitment to teamwork, flexibility, and ongoing professional development is essential. Staff development and rotation are important elements of our school culture.
- Appointment is subject to current vetting requirements, occupational health screening and satisfactory references.
- Applicants with a PF1 form should include a copy of this form with their application.

It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position, and it will be requested upon offer of employment.
