An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil / Coláiste Eoin is a school catering for children with a Mild General Learning Disability between the ages of 9 and 18.
The Special Needs Assistant (SNA) will work as part of a collaborative team to support pupils in accessing and participating fully in school life. The successful candidate will assist pupils with their care, safety, wellbeing, communication, social development and educational participation in accordance with their identified needs and under the direction of the class teacher and school leadership.
The role may involve supporting pupils in the classroom, during yard time, on school activities and in the implementation of programmes designed to promote independence, inclusion and positive engagement in learning. The SNA will contribute to creating a safe, caring and inclusive environment for all pupils and will work closely with teachers, parents and external professionals where appropriate.
