2 Special School Teacher Vacancies
St. Teresa's Special School invites applications from enthusiastic, committed, and child-centred teachers to join our dedicated team in Ballinasloe.
We currently have the following vacancies:
2 Full-Time Fixed-Term Teaching Post (1 School Year min)
The successful candidates will have:
Appropriate Teaching Council Registration
Knowledge and understanding of Planning and Assessment, pertinent understanding of the Primary School Curriculum or Junior Cycle or Senior Cycle Level 1 and Level 2 Programs.
An understanding of the Relate Program and a Low Arousal Approach with a holistic thought process towards a regulation first approach, with the individual child and class centered approach.
Experience of, or a strong desire to work with, pupils with varied Special Educational needs and students on ASD.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team. A kind hearted Teacher with patience and understanding are essential characteristics with a passion to support the 6 children before you.
An intrinsic passion for supporting learners to achieve their fullest potential and to offer a varied creative opportunity to learn, through Regulation first.
An understanding of how to respond to behaviours that challenge in a supportive, positive, and child-focused manner.
We are seeking teachers who are committed to creating an inclusive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive and reach their fullest potential.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fabulous school alongside a Team of passionate educators and exceptional Special Needs Assistants.
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
