An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Welchtown NS are seeking to appoint a bus escort commencing in August 26. The escort will accompany the pupil to and from school daily. The contract is subject to change should pupils leave/join the service. Escorts must be able to meet the bus at the first pick-up point. The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupil on board the bus and will be required to assist them in getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts. Experience working with autism and complex needs is desirable. The position is approximately for 1 hr and 15 mins each day, 5 days a week, in accordance with the school calendar. The escort should be available between 8.30 am and 9.15 am and between 3 to 3.30 pm approximately. Terms and conditions as per relevant DES circulars. Garda vetting is required for this position.
