POST DETAILS
Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Two 0.5 positions are currently available. The first is a job-share arrangement, alternating between two days one week and three days the next. The second position involves working 3 hours and 12 minutes daily, from 11:18 AM to 2:30 PM.
The successful candidate may be assigned to either a mainstream classroom or an ASD class. Placement is at the Principal's discretion and may be subject to change throughout the academic year.
The successful applicant would preferably have experience of working with children with EBD, ADHD, ASD, speech & language, medical & physical needs.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively on their own initiative. Furthermore, we seek individuals with a flexible approach who are willing to collaborate as part of a team and engage in ongoing professional development. Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times is a core requirement of these roles.
Prior experience in a DEIS school setting or an ASD class is highly desirable.
Applicants must possess qualifications in accordance with the Department of Education and Skills Circular 0051/2019.
Appointments are contingent upon satisfactory references, current Garda Vetting, Occupational Health Screening, and the completion of Children First online training.
Please clearly mark the envelope with 'SNA Application.' Applicants must provide a valid email address, as all correspondence regarding interviews will be conducted via email. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Furthermore, SNA allocations remain subject to review at any stage.
