An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Clonoulty Central NS. is a Catholic School under the patronage of the Archdiocese of Cashel & Emly. It is a co-educational rural school with a current enrolment of 95 pupils. Staff comprises of 4 mainstream class teachers, 2 SET and 2 SNA posts.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Assistant (SNA) who is committed to supporting the inclusion, wellbeing, and development of children.

This position is a 0.83 (Infant Day) permanent post.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with additional needs. The successful applicant will be professional, trustworthy, and passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment where every child can thrive.

Essential/Desirable Criteria:
- Ideally, candidates will have completed a QQI Level 6 SNA qualification.
- A strong commitment to teamwork, flexibility, and ongoing professional development is essential. Staff development and rotation are important elements of our school culture.
- Appointment is subject to current vetting requirements, occupational health screening and satisfactory references.
- Applicants with a PF1 form should include a copy of this form with their application.

It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position, and it will be requested upon offer of employment.
