An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Athleague N.S. will open an Autism Class in August 2026.
There are 2 positions available - 2 infant day posts (0.83)
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Assistants (SNAs) to join our team who are committed to supporting the inclusion, wellbeing and holistic development of children.
The ideal candidates will have experience working with children with additional educational needs and special educational needs. Experience in Autism Classes is preferable. SNAs in our school work in mainstream classrooms and/or Autism Class.
The successful applicant must be professional, trustworthy, kind and passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment where every pupil can thrive. Good teamwork skills are essential.

- Candidates are required to have qualifications as per Department of Education guidelines including the Children's First E-Learning Programme.
- Appointment is subject to current vetting requirements, occupational health screening, satisfactory references and Patron approval.
