Lucan Community Special School cater for students with ASD, and moderate and severe intellectual disability with complex needs aged 5- 18 years. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and experience of ASD/SEN, ISL, PECS, Lamh, Positive Behaviour Management strategies is desirable. Appointments subject to satisfactory references and vetting requirements. Lucan Community Special School is under the patronage of Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education Training Board.
The SNA provides the necessary non-teaching services to pupils with assessed educational needs. The SNA acts in a care and support role that is non-teaching in nature and works under the guidance and supervision of the Principal, Deputy Principal and class teacher. The SNA’s primary function is to ensure the care and support needs of the students are met on a daily basis. When applying please ensure referees are included in the application.
