Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Applicants with SNA Supplementary Panel rights should clearly identify this and must furnish a certified copy of a completed PF1 with their application.
Applicants must demonstrate
1. an excellent understanding of the role of an SNA and how to address specific care needs of pupils.
2. an energetic, enthusiatic and flexible attitude with an ability to work well within a team and using their own initiative.
3. experience of working with pupils with a variety of special educational needs particularly autism (PDA) and A.D.H.D. and E.B.D. in mainstream classes.
Additional qualifications or courses e.g. First Aid, Manual handling, Lámh etc are advantageous.
All school staff are expected to engage in relevant CPD, and respect our Educate Together ethos.
Appointments are subject to vetting and occupational health screening .
