An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Additional Information:

Scoil Fhionáin is a vibrant and diverse primary school with a student population of 150 pupils. We are currently inviting applications for two fixed-term Special Education Teacher positions for the 2026/2027 school year:

One full-time Special Education Teacher position based in Scoil Fhionáin
One shared Special Education Teacher position (50/50 split) between Scoil Fhionáin and Croom National School, with Scoil Fhionáin as the base school

Our Special Education Team works collaboratively with classroom teachers to deliver both in-class support and withdrawn interventions, tailored to meet the needs of individual pupils. The role also involves participation in whole-school initiatives such as Aistear, Ready Set Go Maths and in-class graded reading.

Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, OHS screening and current Garda vetting requirements.
