Experience of working in a Primary School in Special Classes for autistic children is desirable.
A strong understanding of inclusive practice, teamwork, supporting positive behaviour and an interest in Continuous Professional Development is desirable. For example, the successful candidate may hold or have a desire to complete the course in Inclusive Support and Care in Education for Special Needs Assistants - currently run by Atlantic Technological University
It is a requirement to hold a Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position.
