The Board of Management of Scoil Mhuire, Ballyleague, County Roscommon invite applications for the position of acting Principal Teacher. This is a temporary position covering a career break for the school year 2026/2027.
The roles and responsibilities for the post of acting Principal are aligned to the four domains of leadership and management as specified in Circular 0044/2019:
1. Leading teaching and learning.
2. Managing the organisation.
3. Leading school development.
4. Developing leadership capacity.
The Acting Principal Teacher position is in the Special Education Teacher setting.
Applicants are invited by post only addressed for the attention of the Chairperson of the Board of Management from teachers who are fully registered with the Teaching Council. The appointment will be subject to Garda Vetting, references, Occupational Health Screening and Patron approval.
