Deputy Manager Vacancy

Strokestown Community Playschool Ltd is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate Deputy Manager to support the running of our high-quality, community-based childcare service.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday. The Deputy Manager will support the Centre Manager in the daily operation of the service and help ensure a safe, nurturing, inclusive and play-based learning environment for all children.

The successful candidate will assist with staff support and supervision, curriculum implementation, partnership with parents and families, and preparation for Tusla, DEIS and Pobal inspections. They will also deputise for the Centre Manager when required.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

QQI Level 6 in Early Years Education or equivalent, desirable
Experience in a similar role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A good working knowledge of childcare regulations, policies and procedures
Strong work ethic, flexibility and commitment
Good MS Office skills
Job Details
Full-time post, 40 hours per week
Monday to Friday, no weekends or bank holidays
Flexible working hours: 8am–5pm or 9am–6pm
40-week contract
Community, not-for-profit childcare service
Salary open to discussion, based on qualifications and experience
Immediate start available for training
