An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Applications are invited for the positon of SNA at St. Patrick's NS Ballylinan. This is a 0.83 post and will be based across our mainstream and special class setting.
Experience working with children with Autism and supporting pupils with a range of additional care needs is desirable. Relevant experience may include providing intimate care, catheterisation support, the use of hoists and mobility aids, PEG feeding, and supporting pupils with a variety of behavioural, personal and medical care needs.
The successful candidate should also demonstrate a commitment to undertaking Continuing Professional Development (CPD), flexibility in responding to the needs of the school and pupils and the ability to work both independently and effectively as part of a team.
Appointments are subject to Garda vetting, occupational health screening and patron approval.
