Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Ballylinan National School is looking for a bus escort to accompany children with additional needs to our school.
School begins at 9:15. Applicants would need to be available in the morning for approx 1 hour before school and after school from 2pm and again at 3pm during term time. Approx 10 hours per week.
The current hourly rate, set by the Department of Education, is €15.82 per hour. (+ 8% Holiday Pay)
Duties will include escorting children to and from Ballylinan National School, assisting children to board and alight safely from the school transport, ensuring that all children are seated safely and ensuring that each pupil is received by a responsible person at the set down point.
Previous experience working with children with special needs would be an advantage.
Position is subject to Garda vetting by the school.
