Applications are invited for the position of Special Class Teacher to work in our ASD Special Class for the academic year 2026/2027.
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic, inclusive school environment and will have responsibility for planning, delivering and assessing a differentiated curriculum to meet the individual needs of pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role involves working collaboratively with school leadership, mainstream class teachers, SNAs, parents and outside professionals to support students’ academic, social and emotional development.
The ideal candidate will:
Hold appropriate recognised teaching qualifications
Have experience working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Demonstrate strong skills in differentiation, behaviour support and individualised planning
Be committed to inclusive education and best practice
Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team
Show flexibility, initiative and a positive, solution-focused approach
This position would particularly suit a teacher with experience in ASD or special education who is looking to further develop their expertise while working in a progressive and supportive school setting.
