This vacancy will be available subject to Board of Management and Department of Education approval.
Applicants MUST be registered with the Teaching Council under route 2 and qualified guidance counsellors. It is desirable that applicants have experience working with students with additional educational needs.
It is a requirement that you be registered under Route 2 with the Teaching Council or, in exceptional circumstances, demonstrate clearly that you can achieve registration under Route 2 in a timely manner to facilitate employment.
If called for interview you will be asked to demonstrate competence in the advertised areas.
The successful applicant may be required to also teach her/his/their other degree subjects, as well learning support, CSPE, SPHE.
Shortlisting may occur. Only those shortlisted will be contacted. Provisional interview date is week of 12 January 2026. No changes of date or time for persons invited for interview can be accommodated. Interviews will be in-person only and will be held in the school.
Applicants must be vetted by the National Vetting Bureau before commencement of work or must hold a recent vetting and complete a form of undertaking and statutory declaration.
