The Board of Management of Saint Anne's N.S. invites applications for the position of Principal. Our school has a Catholic ethos and operates under the patronage of the Bishop of Kilmore. St. Anne's N.S. is a DEIS Urban Band 1 primary school with 15 mainstream classes and 6 SEN classes, supporting children with autism and mild general learning disabilities.
The roles and responsibilities for this post relate to the following four domains of leadership and management as specified in Circular 44/2019;
1. Leading Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
The following skills, experience and knowledge are desirable:
- Proven leadership skills.
- Experience with the SSE process.
- Effective interpersonal, communication and people management skills.
- Previous teaching experience across a range of classes.
- Proven ability to work as a team member and to work with the wider school community in a collaborative manner
.- Understanding of and commitment to the ethos of a catholic school.
- Willingness to undertake Professional Learning.
The appointment is subject to;
current Teaching Council Registration,
satisfactory references,
Garda Vetting,
Occupational Health Screening approval.
