An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Experience working with Autistic children desirable. The ability to work within a team is essential. Candidates must be willing to undertake CPD courses which relate to the needs of the children and the school.
Additional childcare and/or other relevant qualifications or courses (e.g. First Aid, Positive Behaviour Support Strategies, Manual Handling) would be advantageous.
The appointment will be subject to but not limited to Garda Vetting, Occupational Health Screening, and completion of the Tusla online Safeguarding training. The successful applicant may be required to work in both a mainstream setting and in our Autism class directed by the Principal.
