An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Mark’s Senior N.S is seeking to appoint a dedicated and reliable Caretaker. This is a temporary full-time position.
The caretaker plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the school:
- Open and close the school daily, ensuring the premises remain secure, including outside school hours when required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment through minor repairs, groundskeeping, key holding duties and general upkeep (experience in electrics, plumbing and carpentry necessary)
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards while liaising with contractors and assisting with deliveries.
- Provide a positive, helpful presence within the school community, supporting pupils, staff, and visitors.
The appointment is subject to Garda Vetting and reference checks. The position is subject to a 6-month probation period.
