An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
The position is for an SNA to support pupils across both mainstream and special classes. Scoil Fhionáin is a Catholic Primary School with 2 special classes.
We are seeking to appoint a team player who has experience of working as an SNA in a similar school context. Qualifications and evidence of ongoing CPD in relation to supporting the care needs of pupils is desirable. Knowledge and experience of working with children within a special class is also desirable. Applicants should have experience of supporting pupils with intimate care needs, sensory needs and communication difficulties.

Applications should be clearly marked 'Application for Substitute SNA' on the outside of the envelope. Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications. Appointment will be subject to current Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
