An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The post is a post in special education, but is subject to change at the determination of the principal.
St. Mary's Boys' National School is a Catholic school. The successful candidate must hold the appropriate Certificate to teach Catholic Religious Education.
St. Mary's Boys' National School is seeking to appoint a team player who is willing to contribute to the overall development of the school.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
- Probation
- Third Level postgraduate qualification or evidence of ongoing CPD in Special
Education would be advantageous.
- Experience in the following areas will be advantageous:
Aistear, Literacy Lift-Off, IEP’s, Standardised Testing, Guided Reading, Running
Records, IT for SEN, Team-Teaching in Literacy and Numeracy.
Appointment will be subject to Teaching Council Registration, current Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
