An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Drumacruttin National School invites applications from highly dedicated candidates for the position of part-time Special Needs Assistant. This post is a 0.5 SNA post. Candidates would be expected to work every school day, approximately 9am - 12.15pm (TBC).
Candidates must have a strong work ethic, be able to work from their own initiative, respect the ethos of the school, be flexible and willing to work under the direction of the Class Teacher, Special Education Teachers and School Principal. Candidates will be expected to engage in relevant CPD.
We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic and responsive to the needs of the children and the school.
Experience or training in working with children with A.S.D., Emotional Dysregulation and Medical Care Needs is desirable.

Applicants holding a Panel Form 1 (PF1) should clearly state this and supply a copy of the form as part of their application.
Appointment is subject to current Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
The position is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review.
