Sligo School Project is a Multi-Denominational Deis Band 1 school under the patronage of Sligo School Project CLG.
Candidates must be able to work on his/her own initiative, display a strong work ethic, have a good knowledge of the ethos of the school and be flexible.
Candidates must have a profound understanding of conflict resolution in a democratic environment. It is essential that candidates are able to apply manual handling and fostering of positive behaviour patterns based on strategies which are suitable in Sligo School Project.
The specific competencies to meet the additional care needs include: computer skills, language proficiency in either Spanish or Portuguese.
Successful candidates will be expected to respect confidentiality at all times.
This is a full time standard SNA maternity leave position.
Compliance with relevant Garda Vetting Requirements is essential.
Applicants should have qualifications as per Department of Education and Skills Circular requirements.
Where appropriate an internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up from which future vacancies (including cover SNA vacancies) may be filled (valid for the duration of the school year).
