The Board of Management of Scoil Mhuire Senior (Roll No. 19694R) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Principal Teacher.
Scoil Mhuire Senior is a co-educational Urban DEIS Band 1 senior school under the patronage of the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin.

This is a permanent position appointed through open competition in line with Circular 0044/2019. The ideal candidate will:

1. Lead teaching and learning
2. Manage the organisation.
3. Lead school development.
4. Develop leadership capacity.

The successful candidate will be an experienced educational leader who can demonstrate:
● A commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school
● An understanding and commitment to DEIS planning, pastoral care, parental involvement and the promotion of positive behaviour strategies
● A clear vision of how to lead quality teaching and learning
● Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school-based initiatives and projects
● A willingness to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships with all staff members, Board of Management, parents/guardians and the wider school community
A willingness and ability to work in partnership with external agencies

A two room autism suite and support classrooms have been sanctioned for the school, this is currently at the design stage.
