The Board of Management of St. Cronan’s NS, Carron, The Burren , Co. Clare invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the permanent position of Principal Teacher.
St. Cronan’s NS is a Co Educational rural two-teacher school with a current enrolment of 15 pupils under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Galway and Kilmacduagh.
This is a permanent position appointed through open competition in line with Circular 0044/2019. The ideal candidate will :
1. Lead teaching and learning
2. Manage the organisation.
3. Lead school development.
4. Develop leadership capacity.
The successful candidate will be an experienced educational leader who can demonstrate:
● A commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school .
● A clear vision of how to lead quality teaching and learning and an understanding of the dual role of the teaching -principal
● Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school-based initiatives and projects
● A commitment to inclusive education, with an ability to lead and support mainstream and special education teaching.
● A willingness to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships with all staff members, Board of Management, parents/guardians and the wider school community
● A willingness and ability to work in partnership with external agencies
