As one of our English Elementary Lead Teachers, you will teach two primary classes in alternation with a target language Lead Teacher. By joining our vibrant educational community, you will play a key role in shaping the learning journey of our students, with a strong focus on academic excellence and social-emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that connect classroom learning to real-world experiences, inspiring enthusiasm and academic excellence in line with IB and state standards.
- Differentiate instruction using a variety of developmentally appropriate teaching and assessment methods to meet the needs of all learners.
- Monitor and support the academic, emotional, and social development of students.
- Maintain high expectations for student behavior to ensure a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Integrate technology meaningfully to enhance student learning.
- Foster a strong sense of community by actively engaging with students, colleagues, and families.
- Collaborate constructively with colleagues, leadership, and staff across the school.
- Pursue ongoing professional growth and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in curriculum development, team planning, and faculty meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent command of English
- Minimum of 3–4 years of experience teaching primary grades
- Master’s degree in Education preferred
- Experience with the IB PYP and/or dual language programs preferred
- Passion for teaching and inspiring young learners
- Strong communication skills, humility, and empathy
- Positive, solution-oriented mindset
- Strong team spirit and collaborative approach
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion
