An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Triest is a special school for students with a dual diagnosis of autism and mild / moderate intellectual disability aged 12 - 18 years.
Scoil Triest are seeking to appoint 1 bus/taxi escort commencing as soon as possible. The escort will accompany a student on specialised bus transport (taxi) from their homes to and from school.

The successful applicant will be picked up by the taxi at the school in the morning, travel to the student's home to pick them up and accompany them to school. The pick up time to go home is at 12.30 daily, this may change. For afternoon drop off, the successful applicant will accompany the student from the school in the taxi, drop them off at home and the taxi will return the escort to the school.

The escort is responsible for the safety of the student and will be required to assist them getting into and out of the taxi and securing appropriate seatbelts.

Experience working with children with autism is desirable. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.

Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.

Salary is €15.66 per hour processed fortnightly during school term time. The route will take approximately 10 to 13 hrs per week.
