Offaly School of Special Education are seeking to appoint a bus escort. The bus escort will accompany one pupil on specialised bus transport from their home to and from school. This position is for 15 hours a week.

This route is based out of Tullamore, so the ability to get to and from Tullamore is essential.

The bus escort is responsible for the safety of the pupil on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.

Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable but not essential. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick-ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.
