We require a bus escort to accompany and support pupils to and from school each day. This position will require availability to work 5 days per week for approximately 3hrs a day in accordance with the school calendar.
The escort should be available between 7.50 - 9.10 am in the mornings and between 1.40 and 3.20 pm in the afternoons (approximate times and subject to change)
The school is the meeting point with the bus contractor and escorts must have their own transport to and from the school.
The hourly rate of pay is €15.66 per hour, in line with the DES guidelines for school bus escorts.
Experience working with children with Autism is desirable.
Duties will include:
* Escorting the pupils safely to and from school
* Liaising with school staff and parents/guardians when necessary
* Assisting the pupils to board and alight from transport safely and ensuring that the pupil is received by the responsible adult at each set down point
* Ensuring the pupil is seated and wearing a safety belt for the duration of the journey
Appointment is subject to Garda Vetting requirements and verification of references. The successful candidate will also be required to complete the relevant Children First Online Training.
