Ballyduff National School is a Vertical Co-Educational school under the Patronage of the Bishop of Kerry. The Board of Management of Ballyduff National School invites applications for the position of Teaching Principal. This is a permanent position commencing on Monday November 3rd 2025, appointed through open competition in line with Circular 0044/2019.
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria - fully registered under Route 1 (Primary) with the Teaching Council.
Specific Roles and Responsibilities for this position relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management taken from "Looking at our Schools 2022 A Quality Framework for Primary and Special School".
1. Leading Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity

Appointment to this position will be subject to, but not limited to satisfactory references, current and continuing Teaching Council registration, current Garda Vetting requirements, occupational health screening and proof of qualifications. The successful candidate will aslo have a commitment to continue to lead and strengthen the Catholic ethos of the school and must have a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education.
