An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The post is initially based in a mainstream class but this may be subject to change.

Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be flexible, display a strong work ethic, demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training, and be willing to work under the direction of the class teachers, SET Co-ordinator and school Principal.
Experience in working with autism, challenging behaviours and in a special class highly desirable.
The appointment will be subject to references, current Vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
