An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Stewarts School caters for students with moderate, severe and profound general learning disabilities and complex SEN aged from 4-18 years. Candidates are required to have the Junior Certificate or equivalent as a minimum requirement.
The school is recruiting to fill substitute positions to cover for absent staff -both on a short term and a long term basis. The school is also setting up a panel of substitute SNAs to cover brief absences for the school year 2025-26. Duties are as outlined by Department of Education Circulars and include supporting students presenting with behaviours of concern. Experience of special school setting and positive behaviour support strategies is advantageous. Training will be provided as required.
