2 roles in a Special class setting for students with Autism
1 P/T role (.5) to work in the mainstream setting with the opportunity for other additional hours linked to a temporary position.
Applicants can be specific in the role they wish to be considered for or be considered for all roles available.

Newtown School is a coeducational secondary school founded under Quaker ethos located on a beautiful campus in Waterford City. The positions available in the Special Class setting for students with Autism, will be in the first such class in the school. The class will be opening in September and located in the new modular classrooms. The successful candidate will have experience in and knowledge of the processes involved working with students with Autism. Most importantly they should have a good empathic understanding of students with Autism and be open to building appropriate relationships with students and staff in developing a very conducive and safe learning environment.
