This is a 14 hour post to support special needs students in a school for children with moderate intellectual disabilities and autism.

Days to work are flexible.

Looking for applicants with a particular skill set in any of the following subject areas:

1. Music
2. Art
3. PE

St. Michael's House Special National School Skerries is a school for pupils/students with a
Moderate General Learning Disability and multiple disabilities including Autism, ADHD, Down
Syndrome and hearing and visual impairments.

There is an administrative Principal, an administrative Deputy Principal, 5
class teachers (2 primary, 3 senior) and 20 SNAs in the school. The school caters for children
from 5 to 18 years of age.

Essential Criteria:
Applicants should be fully qualified and currently registered with the Teaching Council. Secondary Teacher qualifications. Experience teaching in a special education setting/special class, familiarity with technology is preferred.

Desirable Criteria:
Experience dealing with children with complex needs
Experience managing a class team of SNAs

Physical Education

Experience working in a special school is required to meet the criteria to interview.

Interviews will be held Monday, August 18th in the school.
