The Board of Management wishes to invite expressions of interest in a permanent vacancy, with initial duties in our ASD Classroom from teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Limerick. An expression of interest should be forwarded to the Chairperson of the Board of Management at the following address: chairperson@glengurtns.com by the 19th day of July, 2025, being 5 calendar days from the date of this advertisement.

The Board of Management of Glengurt National School invites applications from the Limerick Diocese supplementary panel for the permanent post of Special Class. Significant experience of working with children who have a diagnosis of autism/ autism spectrum disorder and / or Special Education Needs is desired. The successful applicant should demonstrate experience in supporting autistic pupils, demonstrate the ability to work within and lead a class team, have experience working from behavioural support plans and managing behaviours of concern. Knowledge of Lámh/ PECS/ Augmentative Communication and positive behaviour management strategies would be beneficial. Only those applications received before 2pm on the 19th July will be considered.
Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements, Teaching council registration, Occupational Health Screening, completion of the online TUSLA Child Safeguarding Training, recognised Certificate to teach Religious Education and satisfactory references.
