There are 3 Fixed term supply posts and 2 fixed term Term temporary teacher for Mainstream classes at our school. We also have an EAL teacher role ( 25 hours) as Fixed term based on student numbers on 30/9/25. With our Supply teacher posts, St. Brendan's PS has been designated by the Department of Education and Skills as a base school for the Primary Supply Panel in south Offaly / North Tipperary. The purpose of the Supply Panel is to provide substitute cover in a designated cluster of schools for teachers who are absent on short term substitutable leave. Supply panel teachers will be appointed to St Brendan's PS (the base school) under a fixed-term contract for one year
- be required to provide substitute cover in all 33 schools in a designated cluster ( 25k circle around Birr) and may be deployed into a variety of school settings including various class standards, special education settings and Irish -medium schools.
Travel expenses will be payable to the supply panel teacher as per Circular 0009/2015.
There may be opportunity to complete Droichead as part of this supply contract based on exceptional teaching council measure for 25/26.
Canvassing will disqualify.
