Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
We are currently recruiting a School Transport Bus Escort for our school. They will be required to accompany pupils with an autism diagnosis travelling from their homes to and from our school. No official qualifications are needed, however, good communication skills and experience of caring for/working with children with additional needs is desirable.
Details of the post are:
* Fixed term contract available from 28/08/2025 to 26/06/2026 (school term time only).
* Hours of work:
Morning - approx. 1 hour
Afternoon - approx. 1 hour
* Rate of pay: as per Department of Education ( €15.50 per hour)

Kindly include details of Continuous professional development such as First Aid etc. All appointments will be subject to Garda Vetting certification and TUSLA Children First.
Duties will include:
* assisting children in getting on and off the bus.
* taking responsibility for the safety of the children for the duration of their journey to/from school, until they can hand over to school staff/parent/guardian.
* making sure the children are seated with their safety harnesses secured before the bus leaves the home/school.
* observe confidentiality in all aspects of work.
* Perform any other duties relevant to the position of the school bus escort which may be assigned by the Principal from time to time.
