Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
There is 1 Junior Infant Day post (.83) 5 days per week as per NCSE allocation.
There are 2 fixed term temporary posts for 1 year that have arisen as a result of job-sharing.
All 3 positions are for a Junior Infant Day (.83) 5 days per week - 8.50 am to 1.30 pm daily (with additional Croke Park Hours).
Requirements
Relevant qualifications and experience.
An additional qualification in additional/special needs care and/or education, is advantageous. Additional childcare and/or other relevant qualifications or course (e.g. First Aid, Positive Behaviour Support Strategies etc) would be advantageous.
Evidence of continuous professional development.
Experience of working with children with sensory impairments, medical or care needs would be highly desirable.
Candidates must be willing to uphold the ethos of the school.
The candidate must display a strong work ethic, flexibility and the initiative to work independently and as part of a team. The must also show willingness to be involved in school activities.
The successful candidates will be expected to respect the dignity and the confidentiality of the pupils and will be expected to avail of further training as required.
Initial duties may be subject to change.
The proposed date for in person interviews is Monday 25th August 2025.
The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements, confirmation of qualifications and occupational health screening (Medmark).
