An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
We are seeking a reliable and caring School Transport Bus Escort to assist children enrolled in our school during their daily journeys to and from school.
The bus escort will accompany pupils on bus transport from their home to and from school. The bus escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons, five days per week for the school year.
The bus escort is responsible for the safety of the children on board the bus and will be required to provide pupil care needs including, but not limited to, assisting the children getting on and off the bus, securing appropriate seat belts, etc. No official qualifications are needed, however, good communication skills and experience of caring for/working with children with additional needs is desirable.
Please include details of any Continuous Professional Development such as First Aid etc.
All appointments will be subject to Garda Vetting certification and TUSLA Children First.
Hours: 6 hours per day, 30 hours per week in total (To be confirmed). Monday to Friday – term time only - Arklow/Gorey to Wexford town in morning and return journey from school in Wexford town in evening.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working with children, have an understanding of additional needs, and be able to work with parents and school staff in a professional manner. They must also be available to work in keeping with the school calendar (182 school days).
Salary Scale: hourly rate as determined by the Department of Education and Skills (€15.50 per hour) processed fortnightly during school term time.
