Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The post is mainstream (5th) initially but may change at the determination of the principal.
St. Joseph's NS is a Catholic school. All teacher appointees must hold the appropriate Certificate entitling them to teach Catholic Religious Education.
St. Joseph's NS is seeking professionals who are team players and willing to contribute to the overall development of a busy school.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
Probation
Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school
Experience of teaching a senior class
Experience in teaching Guided Reading, Words Their Way, Team-Teaching in
Literacy and Numeracy advantageous.
Interests/skills /experience in music/sport/I.T/STEM/extra-curricular activities are advantageous.
Details of teaching practice grades are necessary for candidates with less than three years' teaching experience.
Candidates shortlisted for interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications, teaching practice grades and teaching council registration.
