An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Scoil Naomh Iosef is a Catholic, boys school with a class for pupils with Autism.
The successful applicant is expected to carry out duties as per circular 0030/2014.
The successful applicant will be required to work in a mix of an Autism class and Mainstream classes.
Experience working with pupils with Autism and communication difficulties is highly desirable.
Candidates must demonstrate practical experience with promotion of positive behaviour strategies as well as ability to work well within a team and display a strong work ethic.
We are looking for individuals who can be flexible and responsive to the care needs of the children and the school.
We invite those who are energetic, enthusiastic, can contribute to our team and work on his/her own initiative.
Candidates must be willing to undertake CPD courses which relate to the needs of the children & the school.
The successful applicant can be allocated to any SNA role in the school at any time, at the discretion of the school principal. This includes mainstream classes as well as our autism class. Our SNA allocation is subject to review at any stage.
Appointment is subject to current Garda Vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening and satisfactory references.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary Panel with supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of a completed Panel Form (PF1) with their application.
Applications will be accepted by post only.
