Post Advertised
The post advertised is a Special Needs Assistant (SNA) position for one year, joining a vibrant team of staff, including 15 SNAs, at Scoil Bhríde, Kilcullen. The post advertised is for a fixed term contract as SNA in Sonas 1 (Special Class). The successful candidate will support the care needs of children in Sonas 1, working alongside the Class Teacher and two SNAs currently based there. Sonas facilities include an outdoor sensory space, ball pool, a multi-sensory room and a large sensory integration room. Outdoor facilities for all include a large pitch surrounded by a running track, basketball courts and an outdoor classroom.

Enrolment & Staff
Current enrolment is 641 students, representing 461 families. Currently, our staff includes 42 Teachers (including administrative Principal and Deputy Principal), 15 Special Needs Assistants (SNAs), two full-time School Secretaries, one full-time Caretaker, three Bus Escorts for Sonas and four Cleaning Staff.

Requirements
We invite applications from candidates who are qualified SNAs and are Garda Vetted. Candidates should have some knowledge and professional experience relevant to the role of SNA in a Special Class.
