An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a fixed term position for the year to cover one half of a full time SNA job share. The successful candidate will work week on week off with the other SNA.
Applicants must have the required qualifications as per Department of Education and a minimum of FETAC level 5. Experience of working in a primary school with children with complex special educational needs, medical needs, intimate / toileting needs, ASD and EBD is desirable. Candidates must demonstrate their experience and ability to manage pupils presenting with challenging behaviours and must also demonstrate their ability to work as part of a school team.
The successful candidate must also be willing to engage with ongoing professional development and will be required to be flexible in working 36 additional hours during the school year as per current public service agreements.
The appointment is subject to Garda Vetting, Occupational Health Screening and the approval of the school Patron.
