At St. Joseph's Primary School all the children have a visual impairment, and many have additional complex needs including physical, medical, behavioural and learning disabilities.

Experience with pupils with a visual impairment is desirable.

For school year 2025-2026, we have the following vacancies:
• 1 x permanent SNA post - 1 day a week
• 1 x full time fixed-term SNA position covering a career break
• 2 x full time fixed-term SNA positions covering job shares, 1x .5 (half) a fix-term SNA position covering half of a job share post.

All SNAs at our school must have a qualification in patient handling, including use of hoist, and experience in assisting children with personal care and mobility needs.

Duties can include assisting children with behavioural needs, with specialised feeding needs and with the administration of suctioning.

Applicants which are deemed to be a member of the supplementary panel must furnish a certified copy of completed Panel Form 1 (PF1) with their application.
